Friday Night Pizza

We are reopening our Friday Night Pizza trailer at the Chestnut Springs Bakery! Pizzas will go from our 800-degree wood fired oven to the box—untouched. Order and pay online, we will have a curbside pick up table set up to facilitate social distancing.

Chestnut Springs Mobile Eatery (formerly Farm to Forno) provides a unique catering service in Yarrow, British Columbia, with specially outfitted antique trucks that serve as a mobile pizzeria. We can also offer pig roasts with all the fixings. We specialize in farm and backyard weddings, but also work with other groups looking for a casual and affordable event.

Our focus is to deliver a one-of-a-kind party experience. Our trucks pull up to the party location, heat up the wood-fired pizza oven, then start to make fresh, hot pizzas right on the spot. We bring a multitude of pizza toppings to create any traditional or gourmet pizza you desire. As the host, all you need provide are cold beverages for guests, plus any seating or shelter needed for the party.

Due to an overwhelming response to our catering experience, we recommend you reserve your date as far in advance as possible, especially if you are hosting a large event and more than one truck is required. Weekends, especially during the summer months, are our most popular and book about a year in advance. Parties are booked on a first come, first served basis. Meal service starts at the time you choose, and in the case of the pizza & salad menu we generally serve for two hours.

In addition to booking your event date, please make sure beforehand that our trucks are able to park at your venue. We need to park outdoors on a relatively flat, solid surface with enough room to set out our preparation area.

Wood-Fired Pizza

We do a thin crust, Northwest style pizza. Our dough is simple (water, flour, salt, yeast, without added fats, dairy or sugar), we use the best whole milk mozzarella and imported Pecorino Romano cheeses. The sauce is a simple crushed tomatoes. We go light on everything therefore you can sample more pies. Our dough is hand stretched at the event and baked in our high-heat, wood fired oven with the end product having the characteristic charring around the edges.

One of the delights of Chestnut Springs Mobile Eatery trucks is the ability to sample an astounding variety of non traditional pizza, types you normally would not order on your own. We have no set playlist; each pizza maker has their own unique mix of classical favorites, crowd requests and their own improvisations as they create a primo pie for your party.

We begin by making a selection of time-honored pies (cheese, pepperoni, ham, and pineapple) then some non traditional. Where we go from there depends on the guests. Some groups like mostly meat pies, some mainly vegetable. Most parties are a nice mix, and like a good DJ our pizza creators adjust their selection to please the crowd: always trying to keep the party going with making sure there is something for everyone! We also do take requests, but not everyone’s pie can be the next one up, please be patient and try what we put on the buffet. We will attempt to get to special orders but not until we have fed the crowd first.

Rates

  • Minimum rate is $1,250 and includes up to 50 guests. (Each additional guest is $15.)
  • The buffet includes an assortment of ten or more pizzas, with two salads.
  • This is followed our Gooey Cinnamon Bun or Nutella & Fruit dessert pizza.

Berkshire Hog Roasts

The vision of the ranch started from a very simple idea; we own and operate two breweries—Mission Springs and Hearthstone—and the by-product is spent grain and great beer.

“Why not feed the spent grain to the boars and then in turn feed to boars to the beer drinking customers?”

We run a growing herd of well secured wild boars on our 40-acre ranch in the Columbia Valley, and are constantly amazed at their intelligence and interaction in what is clearly a communal life style. They are completely free-range, fed spent grain from Mission Springs and Hearthstone breweries, and just about as smart as our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs.

For our hog roast, we serve a minimum 40-kilo slow-smoked whole Berkshire hog with 40 Creek BBQ Sauce and Apple Mango Chutney. We present and perform the carving. Add this to our pizza menu for an even more spectacular event.

  • A whole slow-roasted hog is $1,500 (accommodates up to 125 guests)

Our son’s grad party was a big deal and the Farm to Forno Pizza Truck was very cool for his friends and great food for the adults as well.

I cant tell you enough how amazing the food and service is. The owners are locals and their hard work pays off. I have booked Farm to Forno twice now to cater a group picnic and will be booking again. My tip for those of you reading this, make sure you try all the different flavors of pizza, go out of your comfort zone you wont be disappointed!!

We booked Farm to Forno for my 50th birthday at our house and it was perfect. Loved the ’59 Chevy truck! Gourmet pizzas served continuously for hungry guests were a huge hit. Everyone had nothing but good things to say about the food and professional, friendly staff. Brock and Cori set everything up quickly and totally looked after everyone. Excellent pizzas and the Caesar salad was great. Would highly recommend them for your upcoming events!

We recently had Farm to Forno cater our wedding, and it was the best choice we’ve made. From the first meeting to the final dinner, Brock and Cori were so helpful and gracious. The pizza changed my life. The pig dinner was fabulous. And the rootbeer was fantastic! Our guests are still talking about the best meal they’ve ever had at a wedding. I would recommend this company to anyone for any event (especially if you love amazing food! 😉
